Da Burgh

Having finally found both the camera and the cable to upload pictures, I have a few pictures of our life in Pittsburgh to share.  Our house still doesn't have a working kitchen and does have boxes littering every room, so it's hardly in sharing condition.  But we're working on it (see below) and trying to enjoy it, too.

One rainy day, I spread out a roll of paper, and Matilda painted to her heart's content.  Steve read for school, and I supervised.  But you can see the kitchen projects that await in the background . . .

The one room that is box-free and mostly complete is Matilda's room.  No chintzy shelves, no shell-encrusted switchplate, no cheesy peach walls . . . not that other rooms feature those items, of course.  We tried hard to finish it before she got here, and she seems to like it.

The work continually in progress:

And some fun around town.  This is a water fountain downtown, right near my university and Matilda's school.  One Sunday Matilda and I got bagels while Steve worked on the kitchen and enjoyed the sun and the water.
